Movie Monday #10

At this point I'd like to warn you guys, that if you haven't seen the movie this might reveal some major things.
!Spoiler alert!

Or I dunno. Most likely there'll be something that could spoil your movie experience.

Well, first I'd like to confess that I have never seen any of the Bond movies fully. I've seen bits and pieces of most of them. My GF claims that I have a huge gap in my culture. I have to agree a bit. But I've never been really interested of those movies. But I'd like to see Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace
Just because Daniel Craig is my favorite bond, and because the special effects are more advanced.

For me the "Original" Bond is Pierce Brosnan, because I remember when I was still just a kid and mom watched Bond's he was the current one. So that's why. But I personally for some reason dislike Pierce.

So yeah, that's my 'Bond history'.
Let's move to the actual Movie, shall we?

I wasn't planning to go and see Skyfall, well at least not in the premier. Which by the way was 26th, and I'm surprised to see that in some countries this movie hasn't even come out yet! (Check your country's premier on Imdb)
But the Marko saw the trailer and suggested that we could all go to see it. If I'll reserve the tickets (if there's any left). That was like uh I think two or one week before the premier. So I was like "Why the hell not?" I mean the trailer was good, and I was actually able to get really good seats!

Well, I really didn't have any expectations for this movie. I knew that there'll be lots of action, some romantic moments and ofc the fact that pretty much everything is possible for Mr.Bond. Like all Bonds.
I liked the actors really much. And the start was pretty good, like I didn't expect that at all.
Bond dying before the actual start. I'm not sure if it was necessary. I mean because everybody in the theater KNOWS that Bond has to resurrect and come to save the world.
Then again, it was indeed uh... well I wouldn't say necessary, but it was good thing to happen. And it gives vulnerability to Bond, like he's not some 'super-human-agent' he is indeed just well-trained agent, who's condition ain't the same that was (maybe) ten years ago.

The actual movie was indeed really good, it kept in it's grasp for the whole time.
Only thing bugging me was that I could not figure out where I had seen two of those actors. Other one, Eve Moneypenny I figured out just at the end of the movie. She was in Pirates of The Caribbean as Tia Dalma.
And I knew actor of Q, he was really cutesey in this movie. He had been in Perfume (I reviewed it few MM's ago)...
Only one I cold not figure out was the villain. Ofc after I got home (pissed out and frozen I may add) and got to internet, I checked him out.
It was Javier Bardem. As a name it's like nobody , but my oh my when I saw his face! Because in uh... 'Normal' life he looks nothing like Silva! And he's the guy who look just like Jeffery Dean Morgan and I mix them up sometimes!
Of course aside those 'minor' actors I knew Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes and Daniel. D'uh~!

What else, what else. Well I _Love_ how Bond dresses up. I'm like super jealous! I'd love to own his wardrobe (& Clothes along it!)... So classy and if I may say, slim and straight looks. Not just in this movie, but over all, Bond dresses really good!
I really fell in love with his one jacket he was wearing in this movie, like a marine/black woolen coat. Medium length, double row buttons. I might even want that jacket more than Mr.Bond himself.

Since this was Bond's 50 yr. Anniversary, they had added some 'memories' in the movie. Well I don't know if it was because of that, or just for fun. Like the Car, Aston Martin DB5. And that in the end Eve tells her last name is Moneypenny. Those were the only ones I got.

I'll give this 3½/5 Stars. So far my fave Bond, really touching.

And I'm not a fan of Adele's, but the theme song she had made for this movie.
I'm in love~♥

This year has been filled with quite dark themed movies. I think this was also really Dark for a Bond movie. I mean from my tiny experience of Bond's I can say it was dark.

Yes, you're getting two movies this Monday! (unbelievable I'm actually in time this week!)

I really don't have much to say of this movie.
Only reason to watch it was Hiddles.

I had a coupon for this internet store where you can lend movies, and I was bored so I started to pick like what I want to watch. And I think I had just seen Avengers ors. and I had huge Loki feels and I don't have ANY (at that point) Hiddles movies. So I wanted to pick something where he was and this was the only one they had.
So I really didn't care like what kind of movie this was.

It was kind of boring. But I think the idea was good. And there were plenty of actors I knew.
Just now, moment ago when I took the link on it's imdb -site I noticed that Paul's actos was Michael Sheen. I mean I've seen this movie twice and I didn't recognize him! He looks so different in beard.

At first it's pretty hard to understand the concept and what really is happening. But Idk for me, I get those quite quickly. And I like it. I mean I don't long for previous decades ors... but the idea of meeting your idols like that is intreeking.

I liked most of the actors. Rachel, Adrien, Tom etc.
But I cannot stand Kurt Fuller, because he was such shit head in Supernatural and I cannot unsee that. His role in this movie ain't that pleasant either. So he is indeed dick whom I can't stand.

2½/5 Stars.

So that's for the movies.

~Cakey

Again I'd like movie for next Monday.  (Preferred if picked out of Last Seen or Rent a movie lists)
